What is Plantar Fasciitis?

Plantar fasciitis can be a grueling condition. It hits you in the morning when you haven’t had your coffee yet and walking can be slow and painful.

It usually gets better after its warmed up, but then we think we can go for a walk and it kicks on 2k in.

What is it?

-it translates into English as inflammation of the plantar fascia, which is a sheet of connective tissue underneath the foot. The pain most commonly presents in the sides of the heel and through the arch of the foot.

-contributing factors: weight gain, shoe-foot relationship, and lifestyle factors such as change in walking activity (even something like a LB strain or bulge, which both alter how we walk, can contribute)

How to treat it?

-Armani is a plantar fasciitis expert, having treated people for many years with success by deep active release through the calves

-initially rest, elevation, and ice will help relieve pain. Once inflammation is controlled, stretching, strengthening, or a combination of both are vital to rehab the area.
